Michael Tzamalis
Skilling Lead | Driving Learning Culture Transformation & Growth, Microsoft
Michael Tzamalis is an expert in lifelong learning, vocational education and training, and skilling development. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Lifelong Learning from the Institute of Education, University of London.
He brings over 15 years of professional experience in the field. Since 2021, he has been serving as the Skilling Lead at Microsoft Greece, Cyprus, and Malta, where he leads national skilling and workforce development initiatives. He collaborates closely with government stakeholders, enterprises, academic institutions, and learning partners to enhance the skillsets of the current and future workforce. Previously, he dedicated nine years to the Small Enterprises’ Institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants (IME GSEVEE), where he focused on the design, coordination, and management of vocational training programs for adult professionals and small business employees.
He also has extensive experience with European programs and partnerships with organizations across the EU. Additionally, he has collaborated on lifelong learning projects with the General Secretariat for Lifelong Learning (GSLLL) and the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation (INEDIVIM). He is passionate about empowering individuals through education and helping them unlock new career opportunities.
